after a year and a half with the same phone, i’ve FINALLY changed my wallpaper from the comically generic came-with-the-phone flower, to something that’s MEANINGFUL to my LIFE.  

here’s why:

a) i vaguely remember seeing this/ a similar quote in my (obviously wise) grandparents’ house, back in the day

b) it matches my bedroom in my parents’ house:

(circa 2006.  for some reason i had the urge to include the least flattering picture possible.  guess i’m really getting into the whole oversharing-on-the-internet thing.)

c) it pops up whenever i check my phone, reminding me to STOP CHECKING MY PHONE and START LIVING MY LIFE.  pretty deep, right?

it’s from this supercool website, music philosophy (discovered, shamelessly, through the nylon blog).  the artist encourages people to download his stuff, …so i did.

FYI: this relates to the blog because the color is in my apartment color scheme, so i considered buying this in poster form for the apt.  (glad i got that off my chest.)
